Did you know your child can study ballet from a former Prima Ballerina who has danced around the world?
Melania, left her home in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil at only 14 years old to dance in Havana, Cuba. For nearly 15 years She danced professionally in South America and Europe.
In 2012, Franco De Vita (Artistic Director, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School) and Raymond Lukens (Director, ABT National Training Curriculum), co-authors of American Ballet Theatre's National Training Curriculum, granted Melania a full scholarship to the ABT teacher's program.
Melania successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 7 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum in New York and became an ABT® Affiliated Teacher.
Our Mission
The mission of the Classical Ballet Centre is to provide each student with the highest standard of classical ballet training in an atmosphere which nurtures self-esteem and confidence.
Whether students simply dance for the love of the art or have professional aspirations, the Classical Ballet Centre strives to provide an uplifting and rewarding experience.
Children ages 3-18 are challenged at every level at the Classical Ballet Centre. Exposure to the Fine Art of Classical Ballet is something that enriches a lifetime through the inspiration only provided by Dance.
